Has anyone of you guys got a California Curio & Relic FFL ?

I am thinking of getting myself a milsurp Nagant revolver
    http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/Russian_1895_7.62_Nagant_Revolver.html

and was told by the local gunshop that the cheapest route is to get such a C&R FFL ( $30) so that the gun can be shipped to me directly.

Will this be enough to give me access to this and other qualifying guns?
How hard it is to get such an FFL?
What should I watch out for?

    Many thanks in advance.

C&R handguns have to be shipped to a regular dealer in california, they can't be shipped to your house if you have a C&R license. C&R rifles also have to be over 50 years old to ship directly to with a C&R in california. C&R handguns don't have to be on the DOJ "safe list" for you to buy them. Mark
