The Brady Campaign has filed suit in federal court seeking to stop our right to carry in the national parks beginning January 9, 2009.

Brady Campaign President Paul Helmke has said, "We should not be making it easier for dangerous people to carry concealed firearms in our parks."

I think we should all call them until we get through to let them know that the law change isn't allowing "dangerous people" to carry in the parks. It is allowing law abiding US citizens to carry for protection in the parks.

Call them: 202-898-0792.
 
I dont think they care what you have to say. They're certainly not going to rescind their suit because some gun owners complained.

It's like calling the catholic church and complaining about their abortion stance.

This is what they do. You'll no more dissuade them of their course than you can stop the tide by screaming at the ocean.
 
Well, I didn't think they cared about what we think. I think it would be nice them having phone calls for week telling them they were wrong in their thinking.
 
I know you aren't being naive. Just don't forget how insidious they are.

They will simply log every phone call as Support For Their Cause. When they testify before a congressional committee, they will list the tens of thousands of wonderful telephone calls they received after filing their lawsuit.

They aren't interested in your opinion, but they are interested in your phone call.
 
Calling Brady will be counter productive.

Every "hate" call from one of us will empower them more and more (how many times have you seen someone here post about buying a gun or doing something gun related just to "piss off he antis"?).


Call your Senators and Congresscritters if you're gonna call anyone.
 
Who do you think is going to answer that phone if you call the Bradies, Sarah herself? You’re going to get some high school drop out who couldn’t land a better job than working for a telemarketing company. And who couldn’t care less about your opinion, and who probably will log your call as being in support of the Brady bunch

Write letters and call your senator and representative.

Notice the Florida Example says "violent crime" and not "violent firearm related crimes"
Sounds like they are using an example of success and trying to turn it into their own lies.

H#$@ no. It is a waste of time calling them. Write letters,they can blow them off too. Email or write to your local reps and goverment officials. The Brady Bunch doesn't care about your rights. They just want to disarm all of us.
 
Like the people above pointed out, it might just tie up their phone line, or they might say how they got all these wonderful phone calls from registered voters, who would not vote for anyone who supported park CCW.
 
And the Brady Bunch say that they are on the same side as gun owners. It is more obvious than ever that they are LIARS.
 
They obviously either have dishonest intentions, or have so little common sense that anything you say won't make it through. Dangerous people don't follow laws, and making more laws won't stop them from doing what they are going to do.

I couldnt have said it better myself! I agree with contacting your congressman/reps and going that route. Write to the people that can say no their cause. Their cause is what they beleive in, as we beleive in 2A. They will not change our minds as we can't change theirs.

Does he mean dangerous as in those of us who go through all the steps to abide by the law even though it's a tremendous hassle? Or does he mean those who are truly dangerous and don't obey ANY gun law to begin with, let alone some stupid national park statue?
Maybe they can tighten the drivers license requirements to cut down on those who drive without a license. :banghead:
 
The Brady folks are so detached from reality that nothing you say or do is going to help. Back in the day people like them would have been placed in mental institutions since they cannot even reason basic cause and effect. Now they're allowed to run lobbying groups.
 
Don't bother calling unless they have a toll-free number (or you can get them to answer collect).

Something about wrestling with pigs.
