I placed a bullet order on the 6th of this month and they were in stock when I placed the order.
Well, I got a call from PV today and they said at the time there was a mixup and they were actually on backorder,so now they are on backorder for sure.
It was really nice of them to call and let me know what is going on--it is just crazy all over---nothing in stock, I wonder what is in the wind:(

Powder Valley is simply amazing in that with all the craziness in the industry, they are still able/willing to take the time to deliver on customer service. I have been following them on facebook and time after time they continue to amaze me. I have bought a few things from them in the past, but from this point forward (once things get back to normal) they will have secured a customer for life through their actions in these times.

I am one of the many people that have recently had a bad experience with another reloading retailer. I will refrain from mentioning them by name as from what I've read they perhaps are truly good people. BUT, the way they are handling things currently is completely unacceptable.

Hats off to PV.

Maybe we ordered the same bullets lol. I recently got a call from them as well letting me know that the bullets I ordered were actually out of stock even though the showed them as available on the site. It's a nice touch for them to do that rather then leave me guessing why I never received my bullets a month later. I'll definitely continue to be a Powder Valley customer.

Notice their prices have changed very little.

Anyone charging significantly more aren't good guys to be buying from.

I will do all shopping I can with PV and a couple others that aren't taking advantage, just because of that.

I will always remember the rotten retailers too...:fire:

They are good, down to earth folks with a friendly lab in the office. Wish more people did business their way. Only problem is their reputation has outstripped their ability to expand. That's why they call this area the heart of the heartlands.

The best thing to come out of this current supply shortage for me is the awareness of Powder Valley. For some reason I've never ordered from them in the past but in my search for components came across them and found out about their great prices and customer service. I am a customer now!

Hmmm...I also ordered Berry's 9mm 124's on 3/6 from PV. No phone call...yet.

Right now they are two weeks late in shipping my order from their promised date. The tracking number has been issued, the credit card charged, yet no shipment has occurred. I'm hoping this gets resolved fast, because the order was a group order and the other folks are getting anxious

Where have they promised dates? all ive ever seen on their site is estimated dates and being so far behind that could easily swing a few weeks.
I know they were having a lot of weather issues, ups not even picking up. if your card is charged, you should be rejoicing.................. your product will arrive soon. id give them a little break.

Got the same call last night. Put my entire "in stock" order on back order because of their mistake. I am not too happy with them lately. I have placed 7 orders for in stock items since January and have only received 1 of those orders and got the call on the Berry's stuff last night :banghead: Hurry up and wait...... Then wait some more.

I have an order in with them that was placed on 1/28/13 Havent heard a word. Of coarse everything I ordered still shows as backordered so I think it will probably be a while.

My order was for 230 grain round nose... Same call... On back order.

They had posted on Facebook March 6 (day I ordered) that they had received 7 tons of Berrys.

FYI Timeline for my powder order to Powder Valley:

Feb 14 2013: Order placed by internet and email confirmation received

Mar 11 2013: Invoice Notification by email

Mar 21 2013: Shipping Notification and FedEx tracking number emailed

Mar 26 2013: Estimated delivery date

I'm betting the 7 tons of Berry's they received were mostly to fill backorders.

I can understand some people being upset about their "in stock" orders actually being "out of stock" but the people running PV are exactly that, people. They're going to make mistakes from time to time. Someone must have hit a few wrong buttons. At least they've realized their mistake and are contacting customers about the issue.

Everyone who's had their card/account charged, just be a little patient. We had some bad weather here last month. PV was already running 3-4 weeks behind and UPS wouldn't pick up from them for probably a week or better. They normally don't charge your account until your order is in the next batch to get processed and shipped. It might take them 2-3 weeks after they charge you to get it sent out. Also, did you read their homepage and notice that they require you send them a photocopy of your driver's license or I.D? I don't know how strictly they stick to that part of their policy but it surely couldn't hurt the timelyness of your order getting shipped out.

If they were Berry's bullets, I'm not surprised. I recently recieved 115gr bullets from them , but had ordered 124 gr. They are scrambling trying to provide 'some bullets' to distributors, but even good companies are have a little chaos at times like these.

I ordered powder and primers from PV in February before they closed all orders.
Still no joy, but they confirmed my order was still good. They haven't charged my card and said they won't until it ships. Another good company.

They haven't closed all orders and I doubt they plan on doing that. They aren't accepting any BACKORDERS and haven't been since 1/29/13. They will charge your card before your order ships, probably a week or two before hand. And they aren't a good company, they're a great company.

powder valley IS my go to for powder and primers. if they don,t have it, it,s not for a lack of trying. good people
