because i sent them my SRH a couple of weeks back to have their MagNa Brake (not porting..., the screwed on muzzle brake) installed on it. Seems like a good idea to me because the recoil of this .454 Ruger approaches ridicules.

Asked them how many MagNa brakes they had installed on Ruger SRH's in total and she said about 20 or so.

Are any of you one of the 20?

BTW, Ill do a range report when I get it back from them...

No, but I was looking at one the other day in a shop, looked very nice.

What is the charge for the brake being installed?

The brake its self is $195 but there are issues...

The brake is tapped right onto the end of the muzzle.

If you want them to just cut the muzzle behind the front sight and not remount the site, its $30.

If you want them to remove the front site, clean up the area, cut and tap the muzzle and re-mount the site, its $50.

Since the brake has a stainless finish and the Ruger is target grey, most people get the Magna velvet hone finish done on both the brake and gun so that they match. If you go ahead with that, its another $99.

So for mine, Im looking at approx. $324. Im just having them cut the muzzle and not remount the front site.
