I have a Russian SKS and would like your thoughts on keeping zero on a 2X powered scope using Leapers SKS Tri-Rail mount. Link; http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/SKS035-1.html Please read on;
This rail is also going to bear the weight of Command Arms BSRS Side Mount Bipod Link; http://www.copsplus.com/prodnum6727.php.
Each leg attaches to a side rail and will be above the bore axis so that the rifle will "hang" on the bipod so to speak. Kind of like a bubba'd Sako TRG series bipod.
The upper handguard/gas tube assembly seems strong enough to bear the guns weight prone w/ bipod deployed, but my concern is that there might be some flex somewhere that would cause the optic to lose zero.
Sorry to be so wordy, but this is possibly the answer to SKS optics mounting we've been looking for. Tks ahead.
