Can I ship ammo to NY?

I have a bunch of ammo I wanted to sell to a buddy of mine in NY... Is that legal? Thanks!

Not sure about local NY laws but usually if you mark the package ORM-D it should be OK.

I live in New York State, and I buy from AIM and J&G all the time. They ship it to me UPS with an ORM-D sticker. If your buddy's in New York City, I have no idea.

You should be fine with UPS. Make sure you label it "ORM-D," either with stickers or just a marking pen.

Don't go to a "UPS Store." Take it to the customer counter at a UPS shipping depot. They know all the regs and procedures.

Rochester has a local law against mail order ammo. I usually have stuff shipped to my wife's work address so she can sign for it but Midway wouldn't ship 22 ammo to that zip code.
