I want a Century Arms VZ-2008, but everywhere's out of stock right now, and I bet Wal-Mart could get it for cheaper because I heard that they buy directly from the manufacturer (or importer).
I think you can still order out of their "in store" catalog, but don't be looking for much of a price break. Their best deals are usually on their rack in the store.
i special ordered a henry 22 levergun from them some years ago. they had the regular one in stock and i wanted the large loop. they used their "layaway" process. I put some money down, they ordered it, it came in and i paid it off. fairly hassle-free as i recall, except for the manager walking me to the door with it
They have a catalog in the sporting goods department in the stores that sell guns, you can order anything thats in the catalog. I think I have even seen the catalog on Wal Marts website though it was quite a while back.
Out of curiosity, I looked to see if they had CZ's. Stock numbers didn't match CZ website. I'd be really, really careful about ordering there with a no returns policy.
I think you would be better with a different source of purchase. YMMV.
As has been mentioned, you can order from the book.
My brother ordered a CVA Optima Elite with the muzzleloader barrel and the .30-06 barrel. He paid about the same as I did for mine with just the muzzleloader barrel from Gander Mountain.
