I want a Century Arms VZ-2008, but everywhere's out of stock right now, and I bet Wal-Mart could get it for cheaper because I heard that they buy directly from the manufacturer (or importer).

I think you can still order out of their "in store" catalog, but don't be looking for much of a price break. Their best deals are usually on their rack in the store.

No you can't, if they do not stock it then they will not order it.

If this is the case, it's not all bad - last time I saw one of those it was quite a tome, and included things like AR's, handguns, and Mini-14's.

i special ordered a henry 22 levergun from them some years ago. they had the regular one in stock and i wanted the large loop. they used their "layaway" process. I put some money down, they ordered it, it came in and i paid it off. fairly hassle-free as i recall, except for the manager walking me to the door with it

They have a catalog in the sporting goods department in the stores that sell guns, you can order anything thats in the catalog. I think I have even seen the catalog on Wal Marts website though it was quite a while back.

    Yep.

Go to the sporting goods counter. Ask for the Special Order book.
If your gun is listed they can order it.

    Be aware of the following:

    You will pre-pay.
You will not be able to return the item.
No guaranteed delivery time. Could take weeks or months to get.

Their book has a LOT of stuff in it.

    Go see and report back.

Out of curiosity, I looked to see if they had CZ's. Stock numbers didn't match CZ website. I'd be really, really careful about ordering there with a no returns policy.

I think you would be better with a different source of purchase. YMMV.

As has been mentioned, you can order from the book.
My brother ordered a CVA Optima Elite with the muzzleloader barrel and the .30-06 barrel. He paid about the same as I did for mine with just the muzzleloader barrel from Gander Mountain.
