Can you spot the new family member? (the revolver family)

Ha!!!! Well, I like um enough for both of us !!!!
My reason is (and I'm sure I'm not alone) that they're historically correct and it would be a natural progression into the cartridge world. With a foot in both worlds, I can shoot my favorite type revolvers and shoot modern ammo . . . and not have to decide one or the other. So we (conversion nuts) make the world go round!! Personally, I think they make the most attractive firearms on the planet!!.. Mike

The horse pistols . . .
What's not to like?!! Lol

Oh no, I love the replicas of the original conversions, like the Richards and such. They are beautiful. I was speaking of the cylinders with the plate on the back, and you have to take the cylinder in and out to load it. No loading gate. Oh yeah, a pistol like one of those you pictured is not far down on my wish list. Or perhaps on the top of my pistol wish list. However, I'm scamming and scheming right now for a small caliber squirrel rifle. On the Rogers & Spencer, which had been on my wish-list forever, I just kind of lucked-out.

Also discovered my CCI#11 caps are a great fit, there is one cone I may have to reduce very slightly. That's good, I was ready to order new cones if it was loose at all, before firing it.

where are you getting new cones for your R&S?

I have 5 or 6 of these revolvers, so I could use some spare sets of cones...

The Euro Arms pistols take the 6X0.75mm threads I believe, and Track of the Wolf has quite a variety of cones. As the #11 CCI's fit the cones that are on my pistol, I'll probably just get one spare set, but don't need them. I do like the stainless steel ones they have though, they look nice, as do the bronze color Tresso's, or Tresco's/Tressco's. I have a good supply of the CCI caps, so I've "adjusted" all my revolvers to fit them.

Oh yeah, I've got those (slix shots) on the Little Brat. Those would go good on the R&S for sure. I think I'll get more than a pair though...probably six. And they look great too.

I hope you know when I said 8 more pair I meant 8 sets of 6 nipples each set and not a pair as in 2 individual nipples.

When Smokey mountain appalachian is your native tounge sometimes people dont pick up what I'm puttin' down. Lol

Me too! I love the Colt open top percussion guns, more than I like shooting cap `n ball, which makes no sense but it is what it is. Years ago, when I discovered the cartridge conversions, it was like Christmas in July. Thank you Tom Selleck. I'm much closer to broke as a result!

I agree with you there. If I'm shooting cartridges, I want a loading gate and something that at least resembles the original guns. I'll also say that if you want one, either buy one or have Goon's Gun Works install a Kirst kit. Don't mess with that other jackwad, he doesn't stand behind his work.

Conversion cylinders, I just don't like them. I'd take the EL Patron before I'd use a conversion cylinder. No offense, I know most of you guys love them, but they have no appeal to me. I just don't "get it" on the conversion thing. To me, a conversion cylinder is kind of like a bat. A cap-N-ball is then neither a mouse, or a bird. No offense! (to anyone)

Or you cold go with a Richards Mason. Not just a conversion cylinder but a full on factory build. Mine isn't historically correct but it does have a .357 bore and is chambered for .38 special.

Wow, beautiful. I like historically correct at a glance, the fine details don't bother me at all. Historically correct would not be a requirement for me. If I could afford one, I'd probably go with one in .38" as it would have good small game getting utility. Well let me know if you want to make a trade, that's about the only way I can get new pistols these days. !!!!

I really like the R&S and got a Howell conversion cylinder for mine. Needs a taller front sight.

If you don't quit posting pictures of your border stamped holsters I'm going to have to attempt one. It may be just a waste of leather though as I have never even considered doing one until seeing yours. I'm already seeing designs in my mind.

Well it's not exactly a fine detail. RM didn't convert 1851's. They converted 1861's so the octagonal barrel is not historically correct.

Still makes no never-mind to me. Whatever that means. Wouldn't bother me at all. Now if it had a red-dot sight on it...that might make a never-mind. And since I might know maybe one person that knows a Colt from a Remington, I don't think anyone would notice. !
