There are about 30 Republicans in the house who are RINOs on the gun issue and about 8-10 in the Senate who are as bad.

About 30 dems in the house and 2(sometimes 3) in the Senate who are good.

    Castle sucks.

I can't prove this scientifically, but I often get the strong impression that the Republicans really just don't get how important this issue is. They think they can distract us from it with a bunch of sleight of hand stuff about gay marriage, flag burning, bra burning, prayer in schools, Ten Commandments plaques, long hair on men, peace signs, and so forth.

Meanwhile, the Democrats think they can buy us off with all sorts of goodies and handouts. They want us to sell our birthright for a bowl of porridge, or a handful of food stamps.

Republicans are only too aware that pushing gun control lost the Democrats the control of the US House in 1994. All too aware. There are some idiot Rinos here and there but the Republicans know gun control is a loser issue.

I can't think of any real gun control measures that have passed since the Republicans took over Congress. Like Buckley, we have "stood athwart history" since 1994!

I can't think of any gun grabbing laws which have been repealed in the years that we've had a Repub Congress and President, though there are plenty of good candidates for repeal.

I do, however, remember the R Congress passing the Lautenberg amendment in 1996. Check up on it, Greg Bell.
