Cany anyone help with with a value of a Taurus 38 special?

My sister has a taurus, 38 special model # 85 IS, serial # HH68745, this is 076mm 3inch, INOXIDAVEL, STAINLESS, WITH ROSEWOOD HANDLE.

She want's know it's worth, She bought it some time ago but has only used it once, about 12 years ago.

Not sure if this is the right place to post it, but any help would be great. She's in dire need for money before she gets evicted, and she doesn't wan't to get low balled on offers, thanks again

try looking on gun broker.com and do a search to see what they are going for.

They have some value to people, just not me. you could probably sell it for over 200.00 quickly and maybe 275 if you get the right buyer.

3" barrels in 85's aren't common. Doubt if that would add any value though.

For a quick sale, $200 would probably be it. If she can hold on to it for a while, she might get closer to $300.
I'm a Taurrus fan and have owned several 85's. Still own 2 of them. I like 'em, but they aren't collectables. Good tools though.

A stainless 3" Model 85? Kind of a rara avis; I'll bet she could get close to $300 if she had the time to look for an interested buyer.
