Sounds like a good week indeed. Congrats on the new 1911 !! I sure was droolin' over some LAR Grizzlies yesterday. They had four of 'em... two of 'em in .45WM, one in .50AE, and one in .44mag. They have a 1918 built 1911 in there too. So sweet... alol of 'em !

The LARs are very cool  . You need five , right ? Yup :D
It aint like I needed another 1911 , but I like Taurus , and I did need a beater 1911 . I only gots match 1911 stuff , so nice to have one that I can bang around a bit and not care tooooooo much . :D Plus , they aint got nothin but great reviews on um thats for sure . Heck they want like a bit over $830-ish for retail , but I got this one for $619 NIB ? Not bad really . :) For the price its got allot of bells and whistles thats for sure , Ambi safety , beavertail safety, skeletonized trigger .

Now I gots to decide on my next BP gun ? Hmmm ? If I keep lookin at these darned pictures you guys keep takin its makin it hard on me to decide since I want all of them ? I want that one, that one, that one, you know the drill ! :D

I bet they know what they want for them thar Lars huh ? Hee hee hee .

I should have took pictures for you guys on my cell phone when I was in Tacoma the other night on my way back , stopped in at Bullsye Sports to look at BP stuff .
They have two Ruger Old Army 7-1/2" Stainless, Target sights , used , each for under $450 ! WOW !!!!!!
I contemplated buying both and selling them off , don't like um personally and knew I could make some bank , but I did not ? I think I must have been too tired ? There still there am sure, you should go buy them today and make a few hundred bucks off um . They looked to be in great shape too . Plus you NEEEEEDDDDDD two Rugers Ratdog68 , LOL ! :D
They would make great pictures for this thread you know ?
Subliminal messege number one ' Ratdog68 needs two Rugers " ...

LOL Indeed, you should've taken pix of 'em. I came across one this weekend with the 5 1/2" barrel in SS for $575. Sure was purdy.

Phantom Captain,

I like that loading stand. What diameter copper pipe did you use for the barrel rest part?

It's 1 1/4 pipe. I epoxied a piece of rubber pad inside it and it works great!

here's a couple of mine - a Euroarms .44 Rogers & Spencer and a no name 1858 .44 Remington kit gun, plus a Uberti 1866 carbine in 45 Colt.

Pretty much my completed collection (couple of things missin'). 2, Walkers, 2, Rogers and Spencers (one original), 1, SS Remmie, 1, Pocket Remmie, 1, Lemat, 1, 1860 Colt, and 1, "Gambler's Friend", combo gun/knife (still workin' on the knife lock for that one).

Some of mine.

Just finished this shoulder stock kit for an 1851 Colt. Got it on Gunbroker a while ago and it took a while to clean up the castings and finish the wood.

My Colt "Progression" - 1847 Walker, 1848 Dragoon, 1849 Pocket Dragoon, 1851 Navy and 1860 Army.

Hmm, seems like many of you people have repeats in your collection; that's not very desirable so I volunteer to take possession of the ones you don't need...

On the contrary my dear fellow... duplicates are unavoidable and essential when building one's collection. Besides, there is nothing like the feeling when someone says: "I just picked up a LeColRemSpill in .34 Cal." and you can reply, "hmmm... I have three of those."

For the more obtuse on the forum - this was said in fun!

Yum !! More eye candy added to the mix !!

AZ Rebel... nice groupings !! Love the Progressive Colts.

Stoney... nice lookin', "down to business" Navy ya got there. Nuttin' like the stoutness of a good color case hardening !

Thank you sir, she's no safe queen. Shot her last week, draws a crowd at the range too.I let a few strangers shoot it and they were grinning ear to ear.
Making smoke seem to do that to people.;)

God knows how non-Hysterically correct I am , but correct me if I wrong ?
Wouldn't this picture look cooler with a PINK Magic Marker than a Black one in the Revolvers trigger gard ? :D Was that standard issue ! :D
