CANTON, Ohio -- The Canton city prosecutor said there wasn't anything funny about a prank in which two women were forced from a car at gunpoint, tied up and made to think they were about to be killed.

Prosecutor Frank Forchione said arrest warrants on abduction charges will be issued Friday against the three pranksters.

Forchione said the victims believed the robbery scenario last month was real and weren't let in on the joke until the last moment.

He said it was a prank meant to mimic a hidden-camera reality TV show.

It ended with the pranksters pointing guns at the kneeling women and counting down their execution until shouting "Happy Halloween."

Forchione said by this point, the women were crying hysterically, believing their lives were about to end.

They later filed a complaint with the Stark County Sheriff's Department.

Ohio CCW would be bad, because then innocent pranksters would be bleeding/dying in the streets.

Many Halloween pranks can be fun and harmless. This strikes me as being not only in extremely poor taste but ..... downright idiotic.

This has a flavor of the famous drink excuse .. for actions committed ..... ''it was not me - it was the alcohol'', as if that excuses anything. Here it was similar cos of ''blaming'' their actions on Halloween ... as if good sense should be ignored and the ''fault'' was Halloween!!!

The women where probably scared beyond description ... what if too .... one had been carrying (illegal or not) ......... and had managed to ''save the day'' ...... she would probably have been justified. That really would have been a prank gone wrong!
