I'm guessing that the Kel-Tec carries a bit easier in the pocket than the Rohrbaugh, but is the difference significant (given that both are in a pocket holster)? For comparison sake I felt that the Kahr PM9 was a bit too large for pocket carry - personal opinion only.
Thanks in advance for any input.

Ankle ... I have yet to give a definitive answer here ..... having only been able to shoot my new R9S on Sunday .. I didn't do much with pocketing it.

I do tho have a P3AT .. and am imagining the differences until I get my R9S actually here for keeps.

I think the R9 may have an edge on the draw .. simply because it is so smooth .. which is not to say the P3 will hang up!!

I have tried the P3 in my SideKick and it comes out pretty well but somehow I feel the R9 will be a tad easier. Of course, the Rorhbaugh is a bit heavier .. tho 12.8 oz is not what I'd call ''pocket draggin'' heavy! :p

Overall, I'd expect .......... and I hope to report later - that the R9 has the edge both on draw - as well as caliber ... making it for me perhaps the ''ultimate'' in small pistols.

Wow... 12.8 Oz... I knew they were small, but I didn't realize they were that light... That's pretty impressive.

IIRC, the 12.8oz is without magazine. Add another 1.5 oz for the magazine and 3 oz for ammo and you're up over a pound - still a bit lighter than a loaded PM9 which goes around 19 oz.

True 12G .. that weight is ''sans magazine'' ..... but it is still impressive.

Pax .....
How do they compare for shootability?
Well, it's early days .. only having put 30 rounds thru R9S Sunday. There are predictable similarities .... in as much as both are small! Thus, the grip required is in both cases one that has to be aquired and refined. It is no doubt in my mind that limp wristing is the main thing to guard against.

Thus far, I'd say I prefer the ''feel'' of the R9 .. even tho grips are smooth ... it just seems to sit better. Maybe it is something to do with weight distribution ... really not sure yet. I fancy too the recoil ''feels better'' from the R9 ... if that means anything! :p

Once my R9 has gone the ''dealer route'' and I have it for keeps . I plan some range testing .. and I'll include a comparison with P3AT. Then hopefully I can give a more definitive (even if still of course subjective) opinion.:)
