Carrying without a CCW??

I was just wondering what everyones .02 cents on this were. who has "known" someone who has? It seems like such an easy way to get yourself in alot of trouble and I don't really understand it too much I guess. I know some persons who find it a good idea and whereas I might feel much more safe carrying a gun through the inner city I just question the legal ramifications. any first hand experience from people with "friends"? anyways I don't plan on doing it myself but just thought it would be an interesting topic. oh and on a side note does anyone know or know where there is info pertaining to open carry in michigan.

We don't discuss illegal activities on THR, for obvious reasons. There may be those who choose to carry without a permit: one hopes they've thought about their decision, and are prepared to take the consequences, which may be severe enough to render them a convicted felon who can never again legally own firearms at all!
