Can anyone recommend carriers worn on the belt for revolver reloads, particularly for 8 rounds?

Intended purpose?

If just tooling around, I have an El Paso Saddlery 2x2x2.

I thinks grabbing 2 at a time is neat.

I haven't found a super cool speed loader holder that I like yet, though.

Although, i admit I haven't been looking lately.

I always preferred the Safariland carriers that wrapped around the belt and the speed loader road on top of the belt, with rounds on both sides of it. I think they called them something like the "Split Six", etc.

They look like this....

Ive used a few other types, but the ones above worked the best.

Im not sure they even make them anymore, and I dont know if the larger loaders will fit in them. I have J and K frame versions of them. I do have a S&W L frame 7 shooter, Ill have to dig one out and try.

More I think about it, the 8 shooters are N frames, arent they? Probably a moot point.

One type Id stay away from, are the spring steel clip type carriers. I tried them for a short while, and between the loaders falling out, and sliced bloody fingers from trying to grab them out of the carrier in a hurry in practice, I ditched them pretty quick.

I thought the OP was looking for speed strip carriers. If he is looking for speed loader or moon clip holders, I could come up with other options.

When I carry a 5 shot 38 I have 2 speed strips in a phone carrier, (look for ones that snap or velcro over the belt for ease of taking it on and off), 1 bullet up and 1 bullet down, I found them at the flea market for cheap.

How do you put those on? Slide the belt through the bottom and push down on the carrier once your belt is in place? I don't carry revolvers but have been knocking around the idea.
