I n tell he is not a benchrest shooter!
Craftsmanship is fantastic! I'd actually expect it to be plenty strong enough since it's a thumbhole of sorts.
I am sure with work as fine as that, it was only brought outside for a quick photo op. Nice work.
As a retired stonecarver and craft woodcarver I completely agree! As a woodcarver myself, I think it's an incredible piece of craftsmanship, and art. I'd be proud to own it. I'd also be really careful shooting it.....
This was done pre-Corona. I’ve seen that picture floating around on Facebook for at least a couple years.Yes, the Covid-19 virus has left us with a lot of time on our hands.....
Interesting, but I can't say I'm a fan.
Looks like a Remington 700.Could you imagine the horror of taking it out and getting a scratch on it? Or a crack? Who has identified the rifle make?
Yes, the main giveaway is the shape of the rear end of the bolt. Also appears to be a long action based upon the spacing of the scope rings. As a long action centerfire, I would NOT shoot that rifle for fear of it breaking.Looks like a Remington 700.
