i have a .243 built on a 98 action.using masking tape it takes 3 layers before the bolt binds up.i have about 50 sized and primed cases.i know you can stretch these out without using bullets but cant remember what charge or what to hold the powder in with.have 4064 and some pistol powders.thanks for letting me pick your brain.

You should be able to use a starting load or "Youth load" of medium burn rate powder like IMR-4895, and long seated bullets to hold the case back against the bolt face to fireform them.

Don't try doing it with slower powders.
Others suggest something like 10.0 - 14.0 grains of Unique and a case full of cream of wheat & the mouth sealed with bullet lube or Crisco.
But that will not hold the case back against the bolt face and probably will stretch the case, which you are trying to avoid.
But that begs the question.
Did you over-size the brass that much somehow?
Or does your rifle have .012" excess headspace?
If the later, you probably should have the barrel set back to correct it.

Borrow your friends .260 rem die and resize them in it ... then size to fit the chamber of your rifle with your .243 die ... remove the decapper pin ...
Or put a .25 caliber expander ball on your .243 die ... this will expand the neck to .25 ... then resize with the .243 expander placing the shoulder where needed...
