Actually, I am sick of Fox News Channel too, as they seem to be getting as liberal as the rest of them.
I prefer getting national news off the internet.

On a plus side, if you're flipping through channels in the AM after just waking up, the odds have been drastically reduced that you'll accidentally be channel surfing and run smack dab into KATIE COURIC'S COLON. It's just about the worst wake up call one could have in the morning.
You do have to be more cautious at night time of Katie's colon, though. It's not nearly as bad as if you'd seen it in the AM before your morning coffee.

Coulter told her, on camera, that she had yet to see Katie ask any left wing author, like Michael Moore, for any kind of substantiation for their claims.
Coulter also pointed out that she was the first conservative writer they had EVER had on their show, in spite of huge book sales over the years. She added that Couric just accepts anything these people on the left say in interviews as gospel truth and believes every word of it and it was frankly, kind of embarassing to watch her fawning over them.
Ann threw a few basic Michael Moore questions out there. Couric ignored them all and shifted to asking Coulter why her writing "seemed so angry and vindictive". Nice impartial interview questions.
Couric did the whole interview with her teeth clenched and couldn't wait to go to break. Coulter was smiling and laughing the entire time. It was worth watching to see Couric squirming with that phony "sorority rush chairman" smile pasted on her face.
I'm sure a junior booking producer at the Today show was fired that afternoon for booking Coulter.

Fox News is not on our side (at least in respect to the RKBA), they are just not hostile to firearms by promoting gun control through extremely biased "investigative reporting"...Many of their hosts are ignorant of firearms and occasionally make comments that appear anti, but they are not the die-hard, calculated propagandists of gun-control that CBS is.
Just like Bush. Bush is not on our side when it comes to the RKBA. He is just not hostile to gun owners. He doesn't promote gun control. He isn't like Clinton, who in 1999, YEARS after the AWB, was on Couric's show advocating that the AWB be renewed in 2004! Talk about an extremist on a mission! Bush has never cheerleaded any gun control. He did play the "game" with the AWB while Tom "the hammer" Delay ended the ban by refusing any notion of a floor vote on it. Bush is ok with what's on the books though. Instead, someone on our side would advocate the repeal of many unconstitutional firearms laws.

Haven't watched CBS news since Cronkite left. I was a kid then. Didn't know any better. Just liked Walter Cronkite.
What'd you expect. It's CBS News. They LOVED Rather.
Look at it this way. No temptation to 'give the new anchor a chance'. We already know what we've got.

I actually met a Pulitzer prize winner tonight...
I met Clarence Page. He spoke tonight at our university. It was entertaining but all of the anti-Bush propaganda annoyed me. I am not pro-Bush or anti-Bush but I felt it detracted from the speech and was kind of redundant. He said that the media is becoming a thing of the past. He did say that the television is still not as effective as a newspaper or the internet. He said the internet with powere for up to the minute current events is more powerful then ever. That the politics of people are more influenced by websites (like THR) and bloggers. The newspaper also has such a large hold on our society because it is traditional and convenient. The fact is that the television is become an out of date meduim for news. However certain shows, such as the Daily Show, the O'Reilly Factor, and some of the other opinion shows are going to remain popular. This is due to the fact that people either enjoy the obvious slant or the humor or both. I personally prefer the internet for my news coverage.

Ahh, yes. The perfect blend of hard news and entertainment. With Katie's record she'll pull CBS new further left than they are now (assuming of course she'll have editorial control over content). Now NBC has a personality hole to fill on the Today show and who do they get? Someone from the entertainment side of someone else's house. Yep, just what is needed. Let's confuse news and entertainment even further and we can even claim to be impartial all the while.
