I just picked up my Smith and Wesson M&P 40 last night and wow, what a well handling piece of machinery. It is the compact version so its nice and small. I was curious if anyone had any holster suggestions for this model. I would like to carry it inside the waist band and unfortunately around here there are not any nice holsters for sale. They are all the cheap canvas collapsible holsters. Please let me know what you use if you carry this model. Thanks!

I have the M&P .40c but I cc owb in a Kramer horsehide. It has great retention and is very comfortable even when seated or driving. The Kramer is a little costly but so much nicer than plastic or nylon.

I use a Don Hume inside the waist that works real well for my M&P 40, my duty weapon. I also have 2 High Noon Bare Asset IWB for two other guns. Both options are probably the cheapest high quality holsters you can find. The Don Hume is a little more money and will last longer but I love the High Noon holsters, they are very comfortable and they have a retention screw.
