According to CCI web site it's made specifically to be shot in AR style .22s. M&P 1522 to be specific.
Cabela's price is $24 for 300 rounds, that's 12.5 cents per round.
What is your local sales price?
Yesterday I saw .22 ammo on sale for 4.5 cents a round.
I don't care how good it shoots I would not pay 12.5 cents a round for .22 ammo

$14/300

Most bulk stuff from federal and winchester won't reliably cycle in my rifle. And jams are hard to clear.
I was paying 25 a brick for blazers so this is just a bit cheaper.

It's one of the few brands which operate in my Walther P22. Accuracy is mediocre, but it does cycle reliably in that fussy little thing.

CCI AR tactical (1200fps, plated) is similar to CCI MM (1235fps, plated), except that the bullet profile is more rounded, like the CCI SV profile. I had to test it since they advertise it will shoot 1.5" at 100yds. It is advertised as being made for the S&W M&P15/22 (and other AR style 22LR's).

Results were that the advertising was right (or close enough.) It clocked 1207fps average, ES 97, SD 23. (Basic bulk ammo stats). It did shoot an aggregated average of 1.55" five shot groups and 2.15" ten shot groups at 100yds.

It is basically MM performance with a bullet profile that feeds better in AR style 22LR's.

I have and do use them. Believe I've been paying around $15 a box.

I've shot them in everything 22 I have from rifles to pistols and they seem reliable and accurate enough.

I used bulk Federal for general plinking and pretty much anything CCI is my "premium" go to.

$24 for 300 rounds comes to .08 per round. Not great , but not terrible if it cycles reliably.

Not excited about their accuracy, but they were some of the first available 22LR here when the drought ended a couple years back.

On sale at $14 per 300 rounds.

Gunny- I tried auto match as well. Didnt feed reliably in my rifle. I was surprised.
I have six 10/22s all but one likes the Auto Match. It shoots and feeds great in my HK 416D and a few others. With as many different 22s I have, I try to keep a variety of 22 ammo on hand and have found that the Auto Match does pretty good in most simi autos.

I use them for silhouette competition with an M&P 15-22...works very well at the longer distances hitting steel. A bit more wax/lube than I prefer. At shorter distances it doesn't matter to me.

They are the most accurate .22 LR I have shot in my AR-22 (DPMS upper, Spikes Tactical
lower/Delton internals). The round nose allows them to feed 100% reliably from Black Dog
Machine magazines I use.

Truncated nose and hollow point bullets just won't feed well in this gun. The Winchester M22
feed OK but do not always extract. I also tried another 'tactical .22 LR' (don't remember the
exact brand) that fed and extracted 100% but their accuracy was not nearly as good as the
CCI Tactical .22 LR rounds.

milemaker, the only gun that matters to you is your gun. Get some and test it. What works for others may or may not work for you.

Every gun is an entity unto itself.
