Unless I carry a New York Reload, I usually don't carry extra ammo unless I'm on the road.

Biker

around the ranch i carry one gun and two or more reloads ( plinking , verman , ect eats a fiew rounds ) If i visit more " civilised " areas ( the big city lol ) well then i carry two 9mms a compact and a subcompact that share mags for reloads , normaly two mags extra there + full loads in the pistols .

I normally carry my Kimber 1911 with a 8-round Power Mag, and a spare 10-round Power Mag. However a lot of times I do wear two spare mags, one 8 round and one 10 round.

G26 with 11+1, Extra mag is 12 (got a +2 extension for it).
Why not just carry a G17 full size mag? I don't carry the spare G27 mags when I have the gun on me... just plan on using the 15rd G22 mags if it comes to reloading.

Like inline , i use the larger pistols mags for spare mags , with the commonality i could see no reason to even have spare mags specefic to the smaller pistol .

One gun, two mags.

Why two? The mag carrier I bought holds two. So I roll with it.

That's 17 rounds per mag, plus one in the chamber. 52 shots, and if it can't be done with 52 shots I think I want to be hightailing it home to get a rifle and a couple of ammo cans anyway.

This summer, a Bianchi Speed Strip in the change pocket of the jeans. However, I recently realized that with the junk I already carry in my pockets, a 5-shot .357 speedloader is not at all obvious.

Now that good weather is over here in Minnesota, a couple speedloaders in the jacket pockets is easy.

8 rounds in the 1911, 7 in a spare mag. As SW just said, if I need more than 15 rounds I'm in deep poop anyway and should've gotten out of the situation.

I don't carry the spare mag for more rounds as much as a malfunction.

Glock 19 with 15+1, spare 15 rounder, Sure Fire Z2, or Bersa Thunder 7+1 with spare mag and the Z2.

8+1 in the 5" 1911 and 2 8rd mags in the back pocket.
2 mags fit and do not look like mags. Like breaking up the shape so it is not obviouse like a single mag looks like.
Lotts of SD ammo comes in 25 rd packages. My full 6 month rotation is one box at a time.

Plus 1 or 2 barney bullets loose in my change.

Loose rounds (a cylinder's worth, maybe two) sometimes. Depends how long I plan to be gone. I have a speedloader but don't carry it much.

G26 10+1 and a spare mag of 10 on me. In the door compartment of my car I have 2 extra 10 round mags. Also carry a box or 2 of WWB 100 in the car just in case I happen to be near a range for a little trigger time.

define "With you"

I carry a 9 in the gun (S & W 4506) and one mag on my person (clip on mag holder) mainly to balance me out- the weight of the pistol alone on one side isn't as comfortable as it is with a full mag on the left to balance it.

I also carry several loaded mags in my 'black bag' range bag, which has pockets on both sides for that purpose. Not that I'll need them, but it's handy to have around in case I decide to stop by the range and have some fun.
