On page 11 of the new CDNN catalog it lists an FNP9 for $379. It claims it was a military contract overrun. What military uses the FNP9?

The correct question could be "which military almost used the FNP-9, and changed their minds?" Hence the overrun....

Not necessarily. The Sig Pro 2022 currently being sold are over runs.

At times, the term 'Military or LEO over-runs' can be a convenient marketing gimmick... FEG you sound alittle cynical, it was the 'Uzbekistan Army' of course!...

Sometimes Companies will approach a 'Military' (US, or whoever impresses) and offer a trial, or test of a new gun with some 'new whizz-bang' to get feedback and hopefully an order.... Or it can be a Governement Agency requesting a 'test-run' of a new concept for a future order... etc, etc, etc.

In the case of the FNP-9, if the 'sale' gun is identical to the normal, stock retail FNP-9, then you're guess is as good as mine... ie. 'marketing gimmick'.... But I'll ditto rellascout five-times when he said "Who cares at $379 the gun is a steal"... He's dead on... the FNP-9 is a super gun at under $400!!

    'And the beat goes on'!

Wasn't the FNP9 one of the guns that the US was providing to Iraqi police forces (along with the Ruger P95 and S&W M&P)?.....

Neither yet. :) Really the same difference. I like Steve so when I get on it will more than likely be him. Make sure you get an Ifalon gun. :)

I got one from Tom. Man what a sweet gun. I think it is the Ifalon version. Best DA trigger I have ever felt.

It is a shame they never caught on. I liked them back when CDNN had the for like $399. I just never picked one up. All German gun. Can't say that about many other Sigs these days.

JaxNovice... Bought a couple guns from Steve (SCM) including my Sig-229. He's a good man, with real good pricing (not always the lowest, but close) and really provides good service. His specialty is SIGS (also CPOs)!! Never dealt with Tom (talked with him on several occasions) but he seems to have a great rep too.
As of a couple days ago, Steve still had a couple of the 2022s...give him a shout! I was tempted but just got a new CZ 40B instead!

Hi GZ, I actually already bought the 2022 from Tom. I am starting to like him quite a bit. As much as I like Steve, we are in the same state so I get whacked (through no fault of his) w/ tax. However he is getting in some CPO 232s soon and tax or no tax I am picking one up from him.

Probably already answered but how does one go about getting a catalog with prices already displayed from CDNN?

CDNN catalogs are posted on their website for download 1-2 weeks before they show up in your mailbox. 2008-4 is now out.

About a year ago CDNN stopped putting handgun prices in their online PDF catalog. I'm guessing they got some kind of legal advice saying it was akin to an offer to sell handguns online. (That would be silly, but many silly things affect our lives.) The print copy, sent to you by request or if you're a regular customer, has prices for most handguns. Some still say "Call", usually because they're not allowed to advertise the price - sometimes because they haven't decided on the press yet when the catalog goes to print.

I don't work for CDNN, but I'm a very regular customer.

JaxNovice... have ya had a chance to shoot the 2022 yet... from your post, I gather you have and you like it!! Was real close to buyin, but got the CZ 40B instead, for now...
Know what you mean about 'instate' buying... TOP GUN is another good supplier for SIGs... but they're here in Ohio, so for me it's either Steve or Tom.
    Good Shootin with that 2022!

I have ot had a chance to fire it yet because I had to watch the kids all weekend since the wife was out of town. I will most likely go this morning. I will give a range report later today.
