CDNN Shipping Charges

I was going to order a magazine from CDNN but shipping was 14.99...those who order magazines how is it reasonable when a 30 dollar mag becomes 45?

How do yall do it?

I only saw a 14.99 option

They are running a special this weekend. SOmething like buy 10 mags and shipping is a flat $5; buy 25 mags and shipping is free. The shipping deal doesn't show up on checkout but is factored in when you get your receipt. If you only want a couple mags get some friends to go in on it with you.

I usually bundle my purchases from them. Find a bunch of stuff I like, need, or want, then make my purchase. Until then I don't place my order.

Thats what I did when it was ONLY $9.99 shipping. Now I just dont buy from them! I find Cope's Distributing has a pretty decent selection of mags and they do a flat rate $7.99 shipping!

Yup. They usually deal with retailers who buy in quantity, and the shipping is a flat fee for an entire order. You can beat the system by getting together with friends and buying a ton of different things. Then split the shipping between yourselves and it won't be so bad.

Also if you get on their e-mail list (just make a request) you will get special notice with lowered prices, including shipping. Sometimes when you (together with others) buy enough the shipping will be free.

Ever since CDNN increase the shipping, I stop buying from them. $14.99 is way too much for small purchase and their prices are not cheap anymore.

CDNN lists $14.99 shipping for all orders but I ordered magazines a few months ago and they only charged me $7.49. The check out price was $14.99 but the invoice that came in the box was at the lower price. I think they charge you the lower amount if your order is smaller than a certain size but they just don't detail it on the web site because the size of every item can vary.

About three weeks ago, they had a weekend special for which, there was half price shipping for all high cap magazines. I only needed one mag, so it was a fair deal. When I received my order, the invoice showed $14.99 for shipping. However, I called CDNN's customer service and got the fee reduced, as per the special, no problem.

The last couple of weekend offers they had, seem to give reduced shipping on bulk purchases only. I guess I got lucky with the timing.

BTW, I originally tried to order my magazines from these places, because they had much better shipping rates than CDNN,

but they both had the mags on back order. Then, I received the email offer for half price shipping fron CDNN, and they had the merchandise in stock, so I just ordered from there.
