just like the title says, Ive been looking at this hot shot ammo that century arms is. the 7.62x39 says romanian production and is steel cased and berdan primed. All the other calibers say boxer primed brass and its made in serbia. its more expensive than surplus but is boxer primed and non corrosive. Anyone ever shoot this ammo or know if its any good? is this a good buy or should I just stick with the surplus and wolf Ive been shooting. any input would be appreciated

Eric...I shot some of their 8mm Mauser ammo yesterday and was highly impressed. It shot to the same point of aim as my $20 box of Federal softpoints, and was very clean.

FWIW, I have no experience with their 7.62x39.

I bought some 8mm as well, it shot lower than my Yugo surplus but very tight groups.

AK actions tend to beat up brass pretty good, just fyi. If you are buying it for an AK it's probably best to just shoot the steel cased stuff.
