Anybody have any experience with the new Cetme amd G3 clones built on Century Arms receivers? There is an article in the new Sotgun Nws about the Cetme and it sounds like a good rifle for the price. I am more interested in the HK 91 clone that JG sales has for sale, I believe it is a Century receiver also. Any have any experience with either to pass along?

I bought my Century Cetme back in November and love it to death. The first time I took it out I shot a couple of 2" groups at 100 yards using surplus ammo, which really surprised the heck out of me cause I'm not that good a shot. I did have a couple of FTF's, but they were caused by the mag I was using. And speaking of mags, they're dirt cheap.

A reliable, accurate, semi-auto .308 rifle that cost $300 and uses mags you can get for $5. What more can you ask for?

I bought a Cetme about a year and a half ago. My rifle has the stainless receiver and is really nice. If I had to do it over again I would definately buy it again.

I don't have any experience with the ones made by CAI - Century, I've heard they are hit or miss.

If you are looking for a G3 type, I suggest the ones made by FMP g3 kit and receiver. I've been happy with my FMP and Springfield. I believe they are licensed by HK kinda like the Imbels, licensed by FN.

How are the bores on the ones you all have seen? Are they chrome lined?

Ether, there's a lot of debate over whether or not the Cetme barrels are chrome lined. Mine looks to be, but I can't say for certain. I do know it is one of the best looking bores out of of all the rifles I have.

I have one from Century built on the Fed Arms receiver. I gotta say the darn thing is as reliable as can be, and is very easy to hit with from a standing position and even on moving targets...at least for me. The brake is incredibly loud, though.
