What is the chance that a so-called "assault weapons" (AR15) and "high capacity" (standard) magazines reach the US Supreme Court and it's ruled that the AR15 is legal to own but so-called high capacity 30 round magazines are not? They sort of go hand in hand that the AR15 has standard issued magazines of 30 rounds.

Right now who knows.
If we can get another new Justice or two like the last one who seems to be about the law and now legislating from the bench, then I say the odds are good that we won’t see stupid stuff like AR and magazine bans being legal.

The problem is that justices don’t always work out as expected. There are cases of a judge being more conservative or more liberal than a president expected.

Personally, I’m happy so far with Gorsuch. As long as he rules based on facts and logic I have a lot of hope for our country. So I’d like to see more justices like him replace the ones who are his opposite.

The odds are ginsburg, breyer, and Kennedy won't be on the job much longer. sotomayor has been looking a bit under the weather too.
