Changes to MI CPL- Needs your help

A substitute of HB5989 passed the House yesterday. The elimination of fingerprinting upon renewal looks like it got scrapped, but the bill still requires gun boards to either approve or deny permits within 30 days. Permits up for renewal that are not approved or denied on time would be automatically renewed for an additional 180 days.

This got through the House, but they're almost done for the year and if this doesn't make it through the Senate, it's toast, and I'm not sure how inclined the Senate is to take this up this late in the year.

So..let's get out there and let them know we need this to go through. If each of us took a moment to let our Senator know how much we want to see this passed, they'll be more likely to take it up.
