Changing address on Form 4

I've never had to change my Form 4 address. As I understand it all I have to do is mail a letter to the ATF in Martinsburg, WV telling them when the change will be effective and of course the new address. Is that all?

I presume you are talking about a Form 4 that was approved as part of a sale of an NFA item to you.

If so, the answer is yes, that is all you need to do, unless the change of address indicates you are moving into a state or area where your NFA item would be illegal.

BTW, you don't need to change the Form 4 itself or make any notes on it. Just keep a copy of the BATFE letter acknowledging the change of address.
