Changing Laminate Stock's Color???

So I just bought a Mini-14 5858 from Davidson's which I had never handled or seen in person, but the description and photo showed a stainless steel rifle with a gorgeous black/grey laminate stock. Problem comes when I receive the rifle and its actually black/green... not such a nice coloration at all. Actually looks kinda like one of the OLD Fred Bear recurve bows from Michigan.

Anyway, I'd like to turn the stock into a black/grey if thats possible. Anyone know if there is any way to bleach out the green or cover it up somehow? I've never dealt with laminate so I really don't have any idea what to do (if anything besides live with it, which isn't that big of a deal really).

Paint it or live with it, IMO. Black/green sounds cool to me; post a pic.

duracoat it, try bleaching it after stripping finish then use some liquid rit dye "yes rit dye" it works wonders:

Thanks for the reply's. But as I said I really have no experience at this, some detailed instructions on how to do your method of choice would be greatly appreciated!
