Has anyone ever heard of Chaparral Arms? They make nineteenth century reproductions of rifles similar to Uberti but seem to be cheaper. Anyone on this site ever own one? How do they compare to Uberti’s line of reproduction rifles? Specifically I was wondering about some of their Winchester copies. How does this manufacture rate in comparison to their price (i.e. worth the money)?

MKS Supply of Ohio is their "Parent Company"....Hi-Point and Charter Arms are 2 of their other brands.

Have a Shooting Budd that bought one of the 1873 Winchester Rifle "clones" in .357. Not as slick as the Marlin gun, but he says it shoots well and works flawlessly with all the ammo he has tried. He is looking for one of their SAA-style revolvers but hasn't found one yet.

Overall, his impression is "decent value for the $$$"
