That is true of my Taurus 94. My 941 is lighter and smoother.
Charter Arms 22 a waste of money?

I was getting ready to post something similar. I sold a Taurus 94 because the trigger was horrible, and my wife had to use both thumbs to pull back the hammer.
I tried a 942 at the gun shop and I own it now
The 94 was a smaller action, looked and felt like a 22. The 942 looks and feels like a model 85.
Some light strikes during breakin, now it is just about perfect as long as I use quality ammo. Cheap ammo still gets some light strikes. I could spring it higher, but that would spoil the sweet trigger.

If I had a do-over, I would try lighter springs on my Taurus 94, and/or have a trigger job done.
IIRC, it had a 5" barrel and adjustable sights. The fit, finish, and accuracy were good.
Same with my Taurus Tracker that was a 22lr/22magnum "convertible". It was a pretty good 22 revolver, just with a stiff trigger.
Even with a trigger job, neither would approach my K22, but they would have been pretty decent DA 22 revolvers and they were relatively inexpensive.

Worth a look.
My Rossi is a gem with good ammo. Chambers are a bit tight but if the ammo is in spec it’s fine, some bulk ammo is just sloppy. But for $90 a few decades ago it has been great. Deals are out there just be patient. I would not hesitate buying a Charter Arms. I have only had two, not the one your looking at but I have found them to be good guns at the price point. Love my Bulldog.

Just looked at Armscor's website and the Alfa Proj revolvers look to be fairly well made and finished. I liked the stainless 9 shot .22 and the 9mm. which uses moon clips, has a 3" barrel with an adjustable rear sight. Couldn't find any MSRP info on them so I guess I will just have to wait until they start showing up at the local gun shops.

I’ve been wrong before but it sounds like you agree with me, making the wife happy can be more important than wasting money, sometimes.

A Charter Arms is far from a waste of money. It’s not a match grade pistol, but it has a lifetime warranty.

I have read, and reread, the original statement and I fail to see any miscomprehension on my part. Here is the statement " However, even that (money spent on a night out on the town with your wife) is far from a waste of money, even thought it’s all gone and you have nothing to show for it, the next day."
Now you question my reading comprehension skills, it is my contention, and I stand by my remarks, that you do have something to show for the expenditure of treating your wife to an evening's entertainment. The result is a happy home life, that's something to show for your efforts.
And my wife had nothing to do with my remarks.

well he said that a night out with your wife is far from a waste is far from a waste(it is worthwhile) even if ya have nothing (physical) to show for it... and the comment infers that the pistol will last longer than the night out with the wife... he never made a comment the the/a wife is not worth having- not at all

Maybe if I treat my wife to a night on the town I can buy the Ruger MklV Hunter I saw at my local gun store. I found it interesting that you can swap the upper parts with the MklV Target model . The grips are a bit chunky (the gun, not wife) but can be swapped.
reasonably priced, decent quality and 22lr double action revolver pretty much don’t intersect, and i have tried to make it so.
after some expensive lessons i learned to stick to semiauto pistols and single action revolvers when seeking a solid 22lr handgun. imho ruger pretty much owns this lineup.
