Hi folks!
Ive got a charterarms .38.. its not the regular "undercover model tho, and Im looking for any manufacturer info for this specific model.
its the Charter Arms, Police Undercover, .38
its a 6 shot instead of the normal 5 shot undercover, and has factory wood grips.
beautiful snubbie by all means. Ive run some +p and standard loads thru her, no hitches..

Thanks folks!

Hi JLaw!
Thanks a bunch for the link! Im ordering a couple this afternoon!

The Charter shoots quite well!
much better than I expected, when I got it for a touch over $200. LEO was the previous owner, and it was in new condition. well cared for. Ill post a pic of it in a bit, its quite the beautiful lil snubbie!
It locks up solid... Its very accurate for a 2in barrel. Its got a bit more recoil/muzzle flip than my compact 9mm, little more bark aswell... as expected. Still easy handeling.
Im certianly impressed by it, and would definetly recommend one to you.
I bought mine with the assurance I would trade it in on something else if I didnt like it... but Ill be keeping the lil .38 so far as I can tell!

Thanks. ip9

All Charter Arms revolvers have the same grip frame. Any after market grip or factory rubber grip made for the undercover or the bulldog should fit on your gun. The Barami hip-grip is also an option. Hope this helps.

I have that same revolver, the 10A is the HK speedloader.

The stock grip is a pretty good neoprene grip. You should be able to get one from Numrich (e-gunparts.com).

The cylinder is a bit bigger being a 6 shooter, so you may find some concealment holsters a bit tight. I had the Uncle Mikes inside-the-pants but the inside layer breaks down. The Bianchi Pro 100 for the undercover isn't a fit. Currently I am using the Bianchi 6, which isn't as loose as I would like, but I am working the leather. A SP101 holster should fit.

Good luck with it.

Official Old Thread Resurrection.

I have made up my mind. I want to buy a brand new Charter Arms .38 Police Undercover (6 shot snub)

My uncle used to have a 6 shot Police Undercover model back in the 80's at his store and I played with it when he wasn't looking, so upon learning that they still made that model I knew it was the one for me.

Its new, it holds 6 rounds, it comes with rubber grips and its +P rated, plus a lifetime warranty.

So, does anyone have any have any first hand info on the new Charter 6-shot snubbies (new Charter, not Charco or Charter 2000 or the old, blued 70s & 80s Charter)?

This eventually will be mostly a carry alot shoot a little gun, but at first it will be a range toy, until I break it in and find a suitable holster. Also, I might use it as a training gun, for the women-folk and such.

So, please, any light shed will be greatly appreciated.
