The town I live in doesn't have any businesses that sell smokeless powders and the nearest city that does (Cabela's in Grand Junction, Colo.) is almost 2 hours away. I would like to order kegs of 2400 and Unique online. The cheapest I have found is Sinclair (www.sinclairintl.com) which is $109.99 for 8 lbs. of Unique and $63.99 for 4 lbs. of 2400, plus a $25 hazardous materials shipping fee. These prices are much better than the Cabela's online prices. Anyone know of anything else cheaper? Thanks in advance.

If you look carefully, you may find outfits that discount the hazard fee if you buy in large enough quantity. If you cannot use or afford that large of quantity, get up a group buy in your area. Works great.

+1 on PowderValley. went in with a couple of friends and saved $40 than driving down to the local seller and paying +$ prices and tax.

a lot of times, by the time you factor in tax, the gas to get to and from a brick and mortar store selling powder/primers, and whatever your time is worth to you, buying online comes out on top.

I buy some powders here: http://conniescomponents.com/powder.html

They don't carry everything, since they're primarily supplying the shotgun reloaders, but they do carry the two powders you're inquiring about. Their prices also include HazMat, and there is a discount for each additional keg ordered.

Hope this helps.

Thanks to this forum

I've found two new folks to do business with - Powder Valley Inc. and Missouri Cast Bullets.

Very happy with my initial orders, both price and service.

Looks like Powder Valley can currently beat the prices you posted too...

You can try Gamaliel's, Connie's (as previously mentioned), Powder Valley, Midsouth Shooters Supply is currently discounting Accurate & Ramshot powders by quite a bit (until the 8th, I think). Sometimes even Graf & Sons has good deals on powder (they include shipping costs in their prices and only charge a $4.95 handling fee)...

Good luck!
