Hey I recently took an NRA pistol class and they were talking about boxes with buttons that you put your hand on and pressed and they opened if you hit the right sequence of buttons. They said you could get these for cheap and I'd like to buy one. Anyone know of a cheap place?

This the kind of thing you're looking for? GunVault
    The MSRP is $120

I'm very impressed with my new DAC Sportsafe. Holds 2-3 pistols, lighted interior, padded interior, removable shelf, springloaded door with rubber-padded stops to prevent banging, key combos from 3 to 12 keystrokes, comes with six barrel keys, sound can be turned on or off, has built-in alarm with adjustable sensitivity, has removable base that is surprising quick to detach from (can buy extra bases), runs off of 6 AA batteries but has an AC input jack as well so that you don't drain the batteries, uses a motorized cross-bolt lock rather than cheap snap spring lock, is of heavy steel, has a handle. Very inexpensive.

I'm thinking about getting a second one.

I 2nd the DAC Sport Safe. I've been using mine for about a year now without any problems. Large number of features at half the price of the GunVault. I paid $69 at Wal-Mart.
