Cheapest Calibers/Fodder?

Just kind of curious what everyone believes to be the cheapest fodder to shoot? I don't own a lot of calibers, so I really don't know that much about the cost of various calibers, but I am curious. So anyone willing to help compile a list of maybe the 10 cheapest calibers? I'm assuming .22LR, 9mm Parabellum, maybe 12 gauge bird shot, 7.62x39 will make the list somewhere?

Also, I understand that a lot of the surplus is extremely cheap, but please keep it to currently-available surplus (or ignore it all together, as it will inevitably dry up anyway).

rifle 223-20 C...accuracy costs closer to 35 C
for 308/k31 and 1911 accuracy costs closer to 45 C

Factory Loaded Ammo, no Mil-Surp

9MMx19 AKA 9MM Luger, 9MM Parabellum
Sometimes, .38Spl is cheap

7.62x39 & .30-30 are usually under $8/20

Sometimes, you can find .308 & .30-06 around $10/20

Cost of ammo was a significant factor in our choice of gun.

22lr is hands down cheapest. Even match ammo is still only half the price of the next best.

9mm parabellum (aka 9x19, aka 9mm luger, etc), is next.

.38special, regular loading is about 10% more than 9mm.

.380 is about 50% more than 9mm.

And it goes up from there.

Standard target/game loads for both 12 and 20 gauge shells are in the 9mm - .38special range.
