I've been bitten by the Mosin bug again and my 91/30 needs a little brother. Maybe a M44 or a M38.

Anyways, around the Twin Cities, I can't find them under $150. Does anyone know of any place cheaper? Thanks.

Fleet Farm still has them for around $99.00, I think.

I was just in Dave H.'s shop (H & H Guns) in Prescott on Monday and saw six of them on the rack marked at $99.00 per.

My advice, skip the Russian and buy a Finn M39 for the extra couple hundred.

Next show is in Bloomington, expect the $150.00 price tags there.

Did you miss anything? Same old stock, same high prices, same sellers. Great bunch of guys but they're not really interesting in selling much IMO. I don't see much turn over in vendor inventories at the shows. I'm dying to get to an outstate or Sconi show pretty soon here.

The guys running the hot dog booth are the ones making a killing.

Have you ever attended a Rochester or Brainerd show? Different sellers?

You aren't kidding on that! Last time I went to the fairgrounds one I met up with a friend who thought ahead and brought a sack lunch; went up into the seats and took a break halfway through.

The outlying shows have some different sellers, usually the local smalltime sellers with only one or two tables, but don't be surprised to see a lot of the same people/guns as in the metro. I was going to a LOT of shows about 10 years ago and there were certain easily identifiable guns (a satin or electroless nickel refinished Winchester Hotchkiss carbine sticks out like a sore thumb, for example :D) that I was seeing everywhere between Owatonna and Mora.
