Positives - at least he's up off the couch and trying to learn to run the gun

Agree.

While I don't agree with some of his technique, at least the guy is out there working it. Some folks have to learn the hard way I guess.

There are some people that just make you feel HEROICALLY well adjusted. He's one of them.

Okay, critique:
1. Equilibrium was just a movie. It wasn't an instructional video.
2. Awkward single shot. pause. Awkward single shot. pause...
Yes, I know Christian Bale killed everybody in Equilibrium with a single shot. See item #1. Personally, I think shooting until the threat is over is a much better idea.

More of us are denigrating the "actor" than critiquing the actions so let's let this one pass.

So, what can YOU do?

If the "actor" in that video does understand anything about close-range defensive shooting, it is that it looks nothing like square-range paper punching, it isn't tidy and suave looking, and your gun may not be the only tool involved in the battle. While he makes some pretty terrible mistakes and doesn't execute the various techniques he's employing in an very expert manner, his practice isn't quite so useless (even ludicrous) as most of the respondents to that video believe.

A couple dozen posters from this thread should now post videos showing the kind of drills they do which accurately reflect and prepare for the violence and chaotic nature of a gun fight.
