Why do you need a knife when you've got a long stick at hand?

    Later,

It's a neat idea that will get you thrown in jail. Same as canes. I'll stick to my pocket knives.

I don't think I'll be shooting pool in the kinds of places where a person might need a windlass.
I had a near death experience in a bar 30 years ago over a game of pool and I learned some lessons then that I don't ever need to repeat.

What 22-rim said. A small knife is less effective than a much longer stick, and in this case, is definitely a concealed weapon.

Been a long time since I've been in a bar.

It seems I remember that there was plenty of stuff around if needed, pool cue, balls(throw-em or palm them with a slap), stools, chairs, beer bottles,etc.. Or just get to the door faster than your drunk buddies:evil:

Not that I have ever used any of the above to enable a hasty retreat in my younger and dumber days ;)

If you're going into the sort of pool hall where you would need that thing, you're better off advised to go fully heeled with a firearm.

Besides, if you're going to place a weapon inside a pool cue, it should be something along the lines of a .22 Magnum round, although firing it would involve ruining it for billiards, I would imagine...

most pool halls here serve alchohol. in AZ, you cant carry a firearm into a establishment that serves alchohol. (meaning:bars, pool halls, rock concerts, ect.)

Don't bring a stick to a knife fight?

Besides, when you pull the knife you'll have it AND a long stick! :)

Todd is making the point that producing this thing is an automatic okay for the other party to use deadly force, or anything up to it. It would automatically prejudice LEO against you.

well im assuming anyone on THR using it would only use it AFTER a weapon had been produced by the other party(s) involved.

That extra metal and weight in the butt section would screw up your game.
