I see that the new Ingils L9A1s are going at $475 a pop with 2 mags and I am tempted. Anyone seen one or held one?

I got 2 Girsans and love them. Well, now that like my FN Hi-Power has had their magazine safeties removed I love them anyways. The trigger isn’t as light as my FN or SA35 because the Girsans include the later MKIII style firing pin block design. While you don’t get as nice of a trigger as the other two, you get a drop-safe design in return. I haven’t got an Inglis yet as I was kind of disappointed that they didn’t have the old WWII style hump-back slide sights and thought they are nothing much more than my Girsan with a lanyard ring and INGLAS stamped on the slide. I might still get one one of these days but for now I’m still happy with my Girsan clones.

Well lost control and for $479 ordered one today. Well sure no tanget sight and sure also no shoulder stock cut too but for $479 figured its worth a try. Plus they have a tenifer finish like a sig or glock slide and none of the brit army paint like the originals.

Happy with my Turkish SDS High Power. Have a few FNs which still have the mag safety where the Turk has no mag safety and the trigger is of a magnitude better. And it comes with 15-round mags. Makes for a fun range gun.

I have an SA-35; like it better than a buddy's Girsan. Better trigger, and just a nicer finish. Also a lot more money.
It's irritating that the Inglis only has a muzzle and a trigger in common with a real Inglis; shame they chose to use the name.
Local Cabela's has one of these for $310 IIRC. I'm trying to talk myself out of buying it.
IkPerDay's link illustrates one of the weirdness of the Turk HiPo's. His photo shows a hole, where the magazine safety linkage pin should be. My buddy's pistol looks like it has the pin, but it's a fake.
My SA-35 had neither. They're a PITA in any case.
Go figure.

Is odd they went with the Engils name with them as from what I gather they are a copy of the brit army MK-3 FN guns. Think Engils makes washing machines and is Whirlpool Canada now.

I've got the Girsan PI Match, and I've really enjoyed it. Perhaps because it is their "match" version, it came without the magazine disconnect.

Let us know about the Inglis. At these prices, it is really asking for a place in my home

Picked up the Inglis today and color me IMPRESED for the price. Much nicer gun than any of the FN Hi Powers I have had and a better trigger than the costly 1911 guns I have too. Only gripe is the brit army clone plastic thumb rest grips as I do not like them one bit at all. But Hi Power grips are all over and ordered a set of checked cocobolo grips for it and that was under $60. Now if the snow would just melt and can get out on the ATV and test it out. Came in a hard case with 2 15 round mags cleaning gear and the silly mandated trigger lock and all for under $500.

As a clone they're good shooters.
That was my plan. Have a really minty, nickel Belgian model, and hate to shoot that too much. It has an especially clean trigger, better than another, now departed, HiPo.
It is one of those designs that any self respecting gunny should have.

I agree with Half moon as have had FN military with the state crest ones and Brownings too and they are to pretty to beat up in the wood plus when they have mags with the serial number and marked 1 and 2. I think the new clone is the Turk contract over run of the CZ-75 of our time as I was Springer copy P-35 vs the Turk copy got the Turk one as for what I see its a better gun for half the cost.

SA-35 Fan here. Cant think of a better HI Power copy than this. It's vastly improved on the originals short comings. Springfield Armory got it right with their piece.

The SA-35 is a Turk, but it is better fit and finished than the TISAs marked specimens, although more expensive as well.
Yeah, mine has a good trigger, never a sure thing with BHPs, and the mag safety 'pre-removed'.
Really happy to have mine.

I looked and at a SA P-35 and got the Inglis Turk copy instead. $475 vs $775 there too. And for a total shock the $475 gun has a better trigger than my SA stainless Garrison that cost like $800.
