Anyone shot the Chiappa or GSG "1911s" or have any thoughts on them? Alternative trainer to the Ruger 22/45?

As far as I know the GSG 1911's are not yet available here. Haven't heard of the Chiappa.

i bought the kimber 22lr conversion for my STI spartan and it shoots just as accurate if not more so than the original slide, me and a buddy were shooting shot gun shells off a box at 50 yards every other shot. takes about 30 seconds to switch back and forth. but it needs quality 22lr ammo for the first 200-300 shots or it wont function well with the bulk stuff. defiantly worth the 300 bucks

The Chiappa model is being reviewed at Gunblast. They loved it.

Sent out a ton of emails trying to find one... I'll buy it sight unseen and plan on doing so as soon as I can locate one. Anybody knows of anybody that carries them I would appreciate a heads up. :)

If I saw the Chippa 1911-22 at a gun show for <$300 I could not walk on by!
