Hi. I got a gong98 under the impression it was an 8mm. Well it is anime but a patrone. I read the germans when transitioning to the 8x57s widened the chamber throat to accommodate the .323 bullet from the .319. Cartridge is the same. Would this be something a gunsmith would do? Is this safe? Rifling understandably is poor. Sure would like to shoot it.
