As far as I know this is the only shooting footage of the Hanyang 88. Definitely obscure and it takes some work to shoot it safely but still worth it. The last few inches of rifling at the muzzle is totally gone but I did not counterbore or modify the rifle in any manner. Still enjoyed shooting this one. Now onto the next project.

Don't rifles of this type appear at the end of one of the Bruce Lee movies in the hands of the police?

Neat video review of this rifle.

An old Korean War vet I knew told me on at least one encounter with the Red Chinese that many were armed with the 98 Mauser that was made in China before WWII, there fore it would not surprise me if some Red Chinese "Volunteers" carried these 88 clones as well.

Nice, can't forget about the good ole "Chang-Kai Shek" Mauser either...
