It's the season to be merry, and for the Christmas celebration/last training night of my shooting club I'm looking for printable pistol tagets with a Christmas theme. Now, I'm not too crazy about shooting Santa :), so I was think more along the lines of pics of wrapped gifts or Christmas trees or something. Anyone?

(Been a long time since I posted here now. Since last time I've graduated from college, started working in Norwegian defence research, taken up IPSC and got myself a new girlfriend who I'll try to take shooting ASAP. Life is ok :D )

(Would have been fun. The range regulations and shooting union rules kinda forbids it. Maybe they would make an exception, but ... nah. Thanks for the idea though!)

Just use red spray paint and make a santa out of IPSC targets.
Of course, the santas are NO SHOOTS!!!!
You don't get any gifts if you shoot the santa.

Like the son of one of the members in our club said at school the next day:
"Mommy shot santa!" :D

Just for fun . . . take some old Christmas ornaments, the round extremely thin glass kind, to the range. They hang nice and turn to dust when popped with a 22. Various sizes and colors for a festive occasion.

Oh, one more thing - Take your kid to do the popping!

Go get yourself one or two of those Christmas fruitcakes. Rumor has it that they are biodegradable, but I wouldn't put money down on that theory.

How about a picture of Santa Bot from Futurama. He is evil so shooting that image of Santa should be OK. Heck, that's what they did on the show, shoot at the evil Santa Bot.

NonServiam, sounds like you are living the good life.

Maybe you could print out a target of a christmas tree with ornaments, and shoot the printed ornaments?

Or cut a christmas tree shape out of a large "ShootNSee" target, and "decorate" it with accurate shots?

Those would make awesome reactive targets year round! I think I'll pick some up at the after-Christmas sales :)

I bet you could fill them with flour or something too!

NonServiam, i have a few samples that i'm working on for you. I should have them done in about an hour. I will post them so you can look at them, and if you like tham, your welcome to print them.

Ok, here are 2. Just had some spare time on my hands and whipped these up. Nothing spectacular, but could possibly work for what your wantingthem for.

Target 2 is not really any good, i think Target 3 may be a little more along the lines of what your looking for,

I'd be willing to shoot at pictures of:

- Fruit Cake
- yet another "wild necktie"...I'm thinking a five tie set-up would be appropriate
- "this year's craze" (radio controlled car adds that keep spamming me)
- "The Grinch"
- "Old Man Potter"
- "Mr. Sawyer"
- The villains from Home Alone (would give new meaning to the phrase..."it's a good night for a head injury")
- a 45RPM with Grandma Got Ran Over By a Reindeer prominently displayed as the title

That's all I can think of for now...I know in some states, several of my suggestions are illegal...so consult local laws before developing and/or using these targets...;)

These are all awsome suggestion guys! Thank you!

And Jick42, this is really great stuff. Thank you very much! I will definitely be using them! :)

(Dave R, I am living the good life! Went Christmas shopping with my girl on saturday, and after spending endless hours in her favourite shops, we happened upon my local gunshop (by accident, I swear  ). I spent quite some time chatting with the owner and fondling the Bul M5 .40 I want for IPSC. She was all attentive and sweet, and later she confessed she fell even more in love with me seeing my eyes glowing with childish joy over the prospect of buying a new pistol. How about that? Hurried home after work today and got her a much more expensive Christmas gift than I had planned. I like guns, she likes bright shiny jewellery. Gotta keep everybody happy :D Quite a fresh relationship, but I like where it is going!

And M67, if you're lurking, no wiseass remarks about me chasing young girls. This one's my own age, thank you very much :neener: But yes, she might be one of the reasons for my somewhat irregular attendance at thursday target practice  )

Jick--cool targets. Just the thing for seasonal target practice. Or even if you're feeling a little "bah-humbug". :D

Thanks, wasnt able to really put alot of work into them, as i was at work, but not bad for the limited time. Hope you guys enjoy.
