I saw a used CIA sporter chambered in 270 winchester for 200 and I am seriously thinking about picking it up. It felt nice when i held it and unfortuantely i can't shoot it first but im thinking about picking one up. anybody know anything about these rifles i looked online and didnt seen anything. i heard its a german company who repairs old mausers and rechambers them to 270.

CAI actually made these out of commercial Mauser actions and inexpensive barrels. I bought one in 308 a number of years ago, only to find out that CAI had screwed the barrel onto the recever off-kilter, rendering the barrel and receiver a total loss.

    I'd examine it carefully.
