i have a ciener conversion kit and the guide rod failed. i need to get a new one buy ciener won't answer the phone.

can i get one from CMMG or Spikes that will fit?

I'm told the CMMG kit is nearly identical to the Ciener kit. How true that is, I don't know, but you may want to shoot an email to or call CMMG or Spike's Tactical and talk with their people and maybe, just maybe you can get a good answer.

Unsuprising that Ciener won't answer the phone. He may be busy, but it is well known that he generally isn't a pleasant person to deal with.

i talked to spikes and they said theirs was dimensionally different but the guy i talked to couldn't even give me the dimensions for his.

i have not been able to talk to cmmg yet.

i posted here because i assumed that the cmmg or spikes would not be willing to accept the liability of saying the parts are interchangeable.

ciener won't answer the phone.
Gee, what a shocker.
Can you take some measurements of the part? I'm sure someone here with a CMMG or Spikes could compare your measurements to their kit. Spike's used to say that they used Ciener parts.

mine guide rod completely gone. i don't have anything to measure.

spikes was willing are ready to ship one out, they just couldn't tell me it was the same dimension. so a little help from anyone here that knows would be great.

If it is less than a year old and you have the original order or receipt it is covered under warranty. You also have to include the mag and I believe the manual when you ship it to Ceiner. You won't get your original receipt back though, and by the time you get it back from Ceiner, if it fails again you'll be out of luck because the 1 year warranty will most likely be expired.

I had to send mine to him for warranty repair to change the extractor and it only took 6 months to get it back. You're better off selling the Ceiner on GB and order a Spikes. He is one of the worst people in the firearms industry to deal with.
