I was wondering, is the frame size of the Model P Junior just basically that of the Colt pocket Navy/pocket Police? Are the internals such as the bolt, springs, etc. basically the same as these models, such as the full-size Navy and Army are the same as the SAA? Also, I've heard that the action is quite rough with these guns. Does that seem to be true in general or was it just a few guns that had this problem? Could I expect the Model P Junior to be as accurate as the full-size SAA or is it's accuracy more in line with a true pocket pistol (not the percussion Navy/Police but more like a small-frame 5-shot)? My wife is interested in one as a companion to my full-size SAA, in .32 magnum. I'd like to get some input on the model before we get her one.

It's more like a Ruger .22 Single Six. The frame and cylinder window are smaller then a regular Single Action, but the stocks, backstrap and trigger guard are the same. The lockwork parts are identical to the larger revolver except for the hammer and hand. Coming from Cimarron I wouldn't expect the lockwork to be rough, but if it was it wouldn't be hard to correct. The smaller overall size and lighter weight makes it an easy gun to pack, particularly in .32-20 or .32 H&R Magnum (6-shot) or .38 Special (5-shot). Hand-held accuracy depends on the shooter, but there is no reason accuracy should suffer because of the smaller frame and cylinder.

I have one, great little gun. About the same size as my
Colt lightning.
I can say that the one that I have is flawless.
Mine is the .38 Special. I will get one of the 32’s also.

Claims to be about 20% smaller then a regular Single Action.
The accuracy for me, was very good.

Always thought that Ruger should have made the Single Six in .38 Spl., in a five shot version if necessary. IMHO it would be a lot more practical than the .32 centerfire one was.

The little Cimmarons are neat little guns. Maybe someday.

I am a big guy, I love the little gun.
