Much, much better than the other. I couldn't tell you what was off on it, but something.

This is great, as usual!

The message is good, as is the pose, but I'm not sure if the whole police/tactical setup you have there is what I'd do...
Very good, though.

As an aside....

Restraining orders & orders of protection accomplish one thing:they establish a legal paper trail so that if TSHTF the defender can prove she took every legal step to avoid it.

Nice going , RLsnow. Hijack Oleg's thread, steal his thunder, and replace it with more of his thunder! :)

Good poster Oleg and good find RLsnow.

I like this one much better. :)

How about redoing the shot without the police gear? Just have Kit in civvies ( preferably sheer, lacy civvies :neener: ) with a CCW - that'd drive home the point you're trying to make about the restraining order.

Quite good! Though, I do think she looks more like a cop than a civvie stalker victim. It's not the armor, to me, it's that belt and the pouches.

I also love this idea from bogie:
Needs a header. "Stalker 101" something like that...

Oh, and:
Restraining orders & orders of protection accomplish one thing:they establish a legal paper trail so that if TSHTF the defender can prove she took every legal step to avoid it.

True, true. Better to have than not, I guess, after a stalker attacks and you have to defend yourself. But as the poster points out, the RO won't actually STOP the attack from happening.

BTW, I also liked the first shot with the "head-smack." I think it could still be used on this topic, with a message to the effect of how the "experts" are quick to point to ROs, but never to effective means of self-defense?

Oleg how about this instead

Have the woman holding the "protection from abuse order" up with her left hand with her pistol in her right hand using the piece of paper to hide the gun. You could put the husband in the pic as well and shoot it from the side at an angle such that you could see the guy, the order and, the gun. The caption could read something like "at least it's good for something" or "If that doesn't work it's nice to have a back-up plan".

Not to be trite, but I think it conveys a message more of the police being the ones to stop stalkers. I'd lose the Police gear. Give her an IWB holster with a typical carry gun.
Also, I think the poster might dissuade people from taking out restraining orders on stalkers/bad people. The real intent isn't that it will stop them, but that it is a legal papertrail. It shows that they attempted to do something before they had to shoot them in self defense.

Yeah, blue jeans and a t-shirt. Pistol carried IWB. Holding the restraining order in her left hand, and the body armor in her right. Captions contrasting the two. Maybe some contrasting color in the backgrounds, just to highlight that there's a difference between the gear and the piece of paper.

Two thoughts both worth whay you paid for them i.e. nothing.

1) Use nonLEO gear wherever possible. I would not worry about the vest but rather the belt/holster if possible.

2) This might not be possible but if you could incorporate a toilet in the background. To me the only use for a restraining order is for toilet paper in case you run out of regular toilet paper. (I say this after having being advised by LEOs to get one and investigated how they work in Illinois, may be different in other states) I realize that this might not fit with what you are trying to show.

PS If the following is correct
The real intent isn't that it will stop them, but that it is a legal papertrail.
then why do they call them restraining orders.? NJ

If you fold the order of protection in thirds, you can put your mug on it and it will protect your reloading bench from coffee stains while you are reviewing exterior ballistics.

New Jersey made us hand out a note that said guns are dangerous with each sale. I used those as bookmarks in the reloading manuals and in gun catalogues.

Probably not in this image, IMO, but I've also made the "Restraining order = slightly less useful than TP" connection before
