THE CHAIR IS AGAINST THE WALL
I was reading the classified ads in today's paper, when I came across the following ad:
BROWNING Single shot, falling block, 7mm mag, with 3x9 Leupold scope $900; Eagle Arms AR-15 with 3x9 Bushnell scope, 800 rounds $950; .22 Ruger Mark II Target, 10 Barrel $250; .38 SandW Snugnose $250; French Army Rifle, never fired...Dropped once. Call for details 390-xxxx

The paper is the Colorado Springs Gazette.

Yeah - it cracked me up when I saw it.

To continue it could have said...

After being dropped, it was repeatedly stepped on by a running crowd!

The paper is the Colorado Springs Gazette.

Good for them. I'm glad to see that at least one newspaper in this state still believes in freedom of speech.

I notice that the guy is selling an AR-15.

Back in the early 1990s, the Denver Post and the Rocky Mountain Newshttp://www.rockymountainnews.com/ stopped accepting classified ads for "assault weapons."

A few years ago, they sort-of-merged in some type of "joint operating agreement."

Last year, they announced that they will no longer accept classified ads for firearms from private individuals.

The Colorado State Shooting association has more info at http://www.cssa.org/news.html#NEWSPAPER

The Colorado Springs Gazette is the coolest newspaper in the country. :D

Clearly run by libertarians ... for jeebus sake they run Dave Kopel's and Thomas Sowell's columns in the editorial page!! :what:

The only obnoxious bit of liberalism in the paper is Rich Tosches' column ... and I think they keep him because he makes liberals look stupid (kind of like Allen Combs does on Fox ... ironicaly Rich looks a lot like Allen) :neener:

Here's their parent company...

and here is their parent company's Values statement (a must read!)

...I think they keep him because he makes liberals look stupid...

That surely must be the reason, because funny Tosches ain't.

P.S. The C/S Gazette is also one of the few papers in the country to run Vin Suprynowicz's VERY freedom-loving column.
