It took 6 very long and grueling evenings, but I finally got everything sorted out. Since it will probably never get this clean again, I decided to take some pics. :)

(Didn't take a "before" picture, but it got to the point I couldn't walk through the room.)

:what: ACK! I thought I blacked out everything I didn't want the world to see...

Just kidding. There's several wooden crates in the pics.

The 155mm howitzer shell boxes under the Dillon hold my late uncle's reloading stash (what I haven't pulled and incorporated in to my collection, anyway)

The big wooden crates under the shellcasing shelves hold 50 BMG ammo (4x160rds of French), while the green 50 cal cans next to them on the floor hold 50 BMG FMJ.

The big wooden crates next to the turret press bench hold 15,800 rounds of 7.62x54R, less what I shot last fall out of this;

clean bench

you know what they say , a clean work bench is a sign of a sick mind !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:D

Wow!!!!!! I drooled and need to go to the bathroom. That's reloading porn!!!!!!!

:)

I thought some of you might get a kick out of it!

Keep in mind, there's 15 years worth of hording in those pics. This wasn't all acquired in a day. Nor does it comprise the whole of everything, just the "everything" that I want temperature controlled. Most of the pulldown projectiles (e.g. Trent's Retirement Plan), are in storage. :)

That's just... impressive. you got more green tied up in that room than I have in my garage project (and I'm adding a 30'x44' garage to my property!) I'm glad someone enjoys this stuff that much. I'll never be at that level (too many other expensive hobbies.) btw... you want to adopt anyone? :D

Dang. I need to save this thread for future reference (aka when the wife says I have too much gun stuff lying around).

Haha yeah it looks so bare.

You can only see a small portion of the bench in this photo but it's representative of how it normally looks:

HAHA! No I already have 5 kids, 2 dogs (mine), 4 cats (wife's), and guardianship of my disabled sister; have my hands plenty full, and already too many mouths to feed!

Like I said above, been accumulating "gun stuff" for 15 years. A lot of what you see was purchased for ridiculously low prices by today's standards. The primers you see, for instance, excepting the 50 BMG arsenal primers, were purchased for prices ranging from $10 per brick (late 90's) to $30 per brick (most recent).

The 30 cal surplus (kind of hidden behind the 7.62x54R cases) was bought for .35c a round, the Radway Green 223 was acquired in a trade-in when I had my FFL, most of those magazines were picked up cheap (there's 4 original Norinco 75 round drums there, and 2 Norinco 100-round drums still sealed, I was buying them when they were selling for $45 and $75, respectively)

A long time ago I made the decision that firearms would be my lasting investment, and it has yet to disappoint me.

all I can say is, well done. and may you never have to use anything in that room for a purpose other than enjoyment/entertainment.

Bloody He77 !
You are better stocked than our local NG Armory!

Yes, I'm better stocked than MY local national guard armory as well.

They can only field two platoons on short notice.

I can field a company; two companies, if I call on a nearby friend who is about equally outfitted.

We rally at Trent's house when things go down. Lol.

Now I see why the is a shortage.

Haha I can't be held responsible for the current shortage because I haven't BOUGHT anything except a couple of revolvers since SH!!!!

As far as the other part... bring your own food.

EDIT: Actually, not entirely true. I did buy an S&W M&P 15 performance center AR the week after, but I got a hell of a deal on it.

Trent, that is impressive! I'm glad we're on the same side.
Love the whole setup. I've got the space, but not nearly that amount of material.

Someone brought up the National Guard earlier. Which reminded me of something. :)

Having somewhat of a local reputation... I was called by the local Marine reserve unit (6th Engineer Support Batallion, Engineer Company C; C 6th ESB) after they were activated, and asked to provide a full day of training on Klashnikov weapons (including live fire) prior to them being shipped out for their tour of duty in Iraq.

It was a really memorable day, as a civilian, being invited in to tour the base, go through the armory, spend time with their unit, and get some hands-on time with the M240 bravo, including a full walkthrough of the system by their machinegunners.

The unit served with distinction in Iraqi Freedom.

It's hard to make out in the photo but on the turret press bench sits a momento; here's the up-close version. Not many civilians are given these.

Just because you are "only" a civilian, does not mean you are relieved of your obligation to serve your country in times of need in whatever way possible.

You should rename the post: "Just Trent's reloading room. Nobody else need bother because this is impressive."
Unless of course somebody can top this room. Anyone?........ :scrutiny:

Good for you, man. Good stuff, and good times. Man that looks so FUN!

As the man said that is the result of 15 years work. I have been slowly building for 30 years to get where I am at. I actually stopped buying guns for a decade due to storage issues with only three safes. I recently started selling less desirable guns to put nicer ones up. As to primers, yes nice inventory but... like I said, I have been doing this twice as long. I can't understand anyone running out of our most important commodity as reloaders.

That is my goal. To have enough stored and saved up that people whisper about me when I go by.

And absolutely no one wants to help me move.
