I am disassembling my K31 today for the first time. A little Murphy's Oil Soap and Old English (800 for me, cleaner for the stock :) ) have done a world of difference.

Now, I took apart the bolt and there was a lot more grease than I expected. I'm new to rifles, so do I want to wipe away and clean the grease out of the K31 bolt? All I have to re-lube with is Hoppe's oil. Is this OK?

Thanks for the help.

MeanStreaker, Clean out ALL the grease and crud. Hoppe's #9 or other similar cleaner should work just fine. Give the parts a light coating of gun oil, and re-assemble. I just got one of them there K-31's myself. :) There is a trick to assembling the bolt. This website can help if you run into problems. Good Luck, and Enjoy! NailGun.
